Carron 4.7kw Timperley

We supplied and installed a Carron 4.7kw multifuel stove in Timperley to replace an existing cast iron fireplace and tall 1900’s mahogany surround.

The installation was relatively simple and carried out in a single day. The customer had already removed the old fireplace, leaving us to sweep the chimney, fit a flue liner and chimney pot cap.

Using some sandstone the customer had left over from installing a patio (recycling in action) we cut and fitted the stone to form a hearth, lining the side and back of the fireplace with fireboard.

The customer requested that we follow the lines of the original opening which was formed using a shallow brick arch. Using a flexible chimney register plate we sealed the opening allowing us to connect the flue to the flue liner.

Finally we made the plasterwork around the edges good leaving the site neat and tidy and ready to be used.
